Reddylite II and a Dentist in Nepal
 

Mr Plowman, a dental surgeon from West Sussex ran a dental camp within a medical camp organized by the Gurka Welfare Scheme (GWS) which is the Nepal end of the UK Charity – Gurka Welfare Trust – at their Area Welfare Centre in Gulmi District, which is about 280 miles west of Kathmandu.  With him he took 2 of our Reddylite II’s.  In his words -

 

“I use the oroscopic Zeon light as a routine means of lighting up my patients in my practice and your light compared favorably when providing basic emergency dental treatment (limited to the extraction of teeth).

 

The lights were very ‘light’ to transport, which will be ideal for taking to the even remoter areas which have no road access and everything is carried by the porters.  They were very comfortable to wear all day and gave an excellent amount of well focused light.

 

They also proved beneficial for gynaecological examinations that were carried out on the Medical Camp”

What a week !

 Finally, the Reddylite III was launched in two models and what a reception they got – everyone who looked at them was amazed not only by the light output but the clarity that they provided.   A hands free, portable light source for examination purposes, the expression “seeing is believing” could be used to describe the reception they received. Surgeons were amazed by the quality of light that they produced at such an affordable price.

 

The endoscope light sources received a lot of attention and when demonstrated they were reviewed with enthusiasm.  We gave away an endoscope light handle as a prize in the balloon drop that took place which was won by Professor Valarie Lund of University College, London and we hope that she will be delighted with her light

The 12th British Academic Conference in Otolaryngology and ENT expo - BACO 2006

GVR Launches New GP Supplies Division

 We aimt to offer and introduce a wide range of healthcare products both efficiently and cost effectively to your practice.

Let me introduce myself and my team. I'm Cathy McMain, I have 15 years of NHS experience including 11 years as a practice manager.  I am joined by Marke Yorke who has a manufacturing background and Hari Geetla, an MBA student with a background in marketing.
We are here to help and although we may not have everything on the website yet, we are duty bound to find you what you need at the right price.

GVR Showroom open for magnifier selection.

Open by appointment,, we aim to provide a service to the Staffordshire residents who need magnification.  A selection can be tried without obligation and then taken home for a seven day free trial.  Appointments need to be made to ensure that the team can also reach nursing and residential homes with the products.

Dr G V Reddy recognised for his contribution to both innovation and service provision...

" Shine" was the programme name of the awards ceremony at Staffordshire University this year - a most suitable pun for Dr Reddy, the director who has not only shone bright enough to be recognised for his contribution to both innovation and service provision, but also has the brightest shining medical torches because of the innovative projects undertaken.

It was with great pride that Dr Reddy received his doctorate from the University, and the team at GVR would like to thank the University for their hospitality - it was a very special occasion, a day none of us will forget !
